Obama is a US Citizen. Get over it.

I am absolutely appalled by the attitudes of so many Americans in regards to the legitimacy of Barack Obama's birth. First, we had the crack pots who demanded to see his birth certificate back in 2008. I'd like to back track from that a little bit. Obama is not that young, and he probably grew up like many other Americans -- he must have gotten his learner's permit and license just like the rest of us when we were sixteen. He also would have had to have some kind of proof of citizenship in order to be employed and almost any establishment. So, how could Obama become a senator, let alone the president, without such documentation? It irks me that people would think otherwise.

Oh, but it gets worse. A few weeks ago, Trump (and some of his other goons) decided to issue an investigation on Obama, and demanded that he release his "long form" birth certificate to prove, once again, that he is actually a US citizen. The state of Hawaii officially released the form last week, and Trump wound up with egg on his face. The president addressed this issue at the 2011 White House Correspondent's Dinner, and delivered a handful of zingers to Trump. The audience seemed to respond well, if that says anything.

Now, what angers me even further is that after the document was released, it sparked a whole new wave of controversy. People have been arguing its validity, saying it was forged in photoshop, etc. Others argue that the term for African American back in the 60's was technically "negro", and because Obama's certificate says that he's African American (before the term became politically correct), this is a complete phony. Again, we have got some great crack pot theories at work, but I think people should ask themselves, honestly -- if you were the president of the United States, would you really put it on yourself to fake your birth? I think the repercussions would outweigh any sort of beneficial outcome.

Just for kicks, I found a photoshopped document that shows Obama's long-form birth certificate through the eyes of Trump (and any other crazies out there. You know who you are).

I really hope this situation clears up for poor Obama, and for the rest of our sake. We have many more important issues at hand. Seriously. 

Barack Obama is a US citizen, and always has been a US citizen. Get over yourselves.
